Cecilia Ferrari, the heart and hands of Food For Friends

Some passions are born in the kitchen and become a way of welcoming life.

I'm Cecilia, from Modena, deeply attached to my land, its traditions and the genuine flavours that can tell a story.

After forty years working in banking, I chose to give my time, energy and passion to what I have always loved: cooking, sharing a table and the pleasure of looking after others.

My cooking comes from the Ferrari family recipes, from gestures handed down, from the scent of broth simmering slowly and from sfoglia taking shape under my hands.

I love Modenese tradition, and I interpret it with a constant search for quality, technique and elegance. I choose the ingredients myself, study each preparation, respect cooking times and look after every detail, because I believe even the simplest dish deserves attention.

Tortellini, rosette, fresh pasta, bread and homemade cakes are part of my world. But my passion goes beyond the stove: I love wine, pairings, the beauty of a carefully laid table and the pleasure of telling the story of what I serve.

Food For Friends was born from exactly this wish: to turn a passion for cooking into an experience to share.

In my workshops I teach the art of fresh pasta, and in my Home Restaurant I welcome guests into an intimate, homely and refined setting.

I don't just want to make a good lunch or a lovely dinner. I want every person to feel expected, listened to and welcomed, just like a friend.

Because, for me, true elegance is not about impressing people, but about making them feel good.

This is my cooking. This is my home. This is Food For Friends.

«I don't cook only to bring something excellent to the table. I cook to leave a lovely memory in the heart of whoever sits down with me.»
